Asking Your Agent Questions
Pingd understands natural language — ask questions the way you'd ask a colleague. No special syntax, no query language, just plain English.
Getting Started
Open a DM with your Pingd agent in Slack, or mention @Pingd in a channel. Just type your question:
- "What's my pipeline looking like?"
- "Show me deals closing this month"
- "How's the Acme Corp opportunity going?"
Query Examples by Category
Pipeline & Forecast
- "What's my total pipeline value for Q2?"
- "How many deals are in the Proposal stage?"
- "What's my weighted pipeline?"
- "Compare my pipeline to last quarter"
- "Which deals moved stages this week?"

- "Give me a summary of Acme Corp"
- "Who are the key contacts at Globex?"
- "When was the last time we spoke with Widget Inc?"
- "Which accounts have gone quiet?"

- "Who in my territory hasn't been contacted in 60 days?"
External Data Sources
With external connectors connected, you can query data from multiple systems:
Snowflake Data Warehouse:- "Show me accounts from our Snowflake accounts table with ARR over $500K"
- "Compare this quarter's pipeline with our warehouse forecast data"
- "What's the average deal cycle for accounts in the enterprise segment based on our historical data?"
- "Analyze the monthly sales report from our S3 exports"
- "Show me the latest product usage data from S3 for my accounts"
- "Compare account health scores from our S3 analytics files"
- "Take the account list from Snowflake and show me their Salesforce opportunities"
- "Find accounts with high usage scores in S3 but low pipeline value in Salesforce"
- "Match our Snowflake customer success data with Salesforce renewal opportunities"
Tips for Better Queries
Be Specific with Time
❌ "Show me recent deals" ✅ "Show me deals created in the last 30 days"Name Your Filters
❌ "Show me big deals" ✅ "Show me deals over $100K in the Enterprise segment"Ask Follow-ups
Your agent remembers context within a conversation:- "Show me deals closing this month"
- "Which of those are at risk?"
- "Draft a follow-up email for the Acme one"
Ask for Comparisons
- "How does this quarter compare to last quarter?"
- "Is my pipeline healthier than it was last month?"
- "Who on the team has the most at-risk deals?"
Pro Tip: Don't be afraid to ask complex, multi-part questions. The agent is designed to handle them: "What are my top 5 deals by value, which ones have had no activity in the last 2 weeks, and can you draft a check-in email for each?"
What Works Less Well
While Pingd is powerful, it has limitations:
- Future predictions with certainty — "Will I hit quota?" gets an informed estimate, not a guarantee
- Data that isn't synced — If it's not in your CRM, the agent can't see it
- Non-sales questions — Pingd is focused on sales; general knowledge questions may get basic answers
- Real-time external data — Stock prices, breaking news, etc. aren't available
Conversation History
Your agent remembers your conversation history within a session. For important insights, save them:
- "Save this as a note on the Acme account"
- "Remind me about this before my next QBR"
